Black Nite Crash “NEVERGREEN” new album, release show

Black Nite Crash release their second album “Nevergreen” with Neon Sigh, and are playing a show for the occasion! Friday, August 11 2017 in Seattle at the High Dive, the group headlines a show that also features our comrades-in-reverb Fotoform and Vibragun. Fotoform also celebrate the recent release of their self-titled LP which is quite good and highly relevant for fans of Lush, Pale Saints, Slowdive, Cocteau Twins etc. Vibragun played a most compelling show last time around – their music is full of the coolness and quality of a club band, but their sound was worthy of a stadium tour. Wow!

Meanwhile, Black Nite Crash bring an exciting mix of songs in “Nevergreen” crafted over the past few years while playing steadily around the Northwest, we’re certain you’ll find something impressive on the record.

NEVERGREEN will be available online very soon, with early copies ready at the High Dive release show! Don’t miss it!

TOKYOIDAHO WEST COAST TOUR 2016

TOKYOIDAHO WEST COAST TOUR 2016

Tokyoidaho are headed on the road!

Catch them in YOUR area:

Mon 13 Jun – Redding CA – The Dip
Wed 15 Jun – Los Angeles – Harvard & Stone
Thu 16 Jun – San Francisco – The Knockout
Fri 17 Jun – Ashland OR – Club 66
Sat 18 Jun – Portland – Kelly’s Olympian

“rhythm-centered, electronic-hybrid rock with a post-punk influence.. Led by a skittering martial beat and pulsing electronic bass lines..” – Jacob Webb, KEXP 90.3FM

“It’s a masterly collection of cloud-strafing songs with curvaceous, sigh-inducing melodies swathed in blurred-magenta guitar textures. The group’s craftily dramatic dynamics keep things varied and the use of effects is deft and trippy.” – Dave Segal, The Stranger

“Their experimentation with shoegaze/pop/alternative rock spins routine categorizations through the blender. What plops out on the other end is not found in nature, certainly. But neither does the music hail exclusively from the deep regions of space. Tokyoidaho’s ability to bridge melody and weird aural delights deserves notice.” – The Deli Magazine

Special show 7th June at Lofi Seattle: Tokyoidaho with The Stargazer Lilies and Retirement

NEON SIGH PRESENTS THE STARGAZER LILIES, TOKYOIDAHO, DJ RETINA BURN 7 JUN 2016

Tues 7th June 2016 –

The Stargazer Lilies
Tokyoidaho
Retirement
DJ Retina Burn
at
LOFI Seattle
9pm

Here’s what The Stranger is saying about The Stargazer Lilies coming back to town –

“The Stargazer Lilies create textbook shoegaze rock that transports you to that idyllic mauve miasma that enveloped us in the early 1990s. Everything in their music is hazy and blurry and opiated and you can’t discern a dad-blasted lyric, but it doesn’t matter because you’re too busy swooning to and floating on the wispy bliss cloud composed of reverbed and chorused guitars and Kim Field’s distant, dulcet vocals. It’s sort of like Slowdive, Cocteau Twins, and My Bloody Valentine had a threesome and out popped We Are the Dreamers, Stargazer Lilies’ panoramically beautiful 2013 debut LP. It’s hard to imagine that the new Door to the Sun—of which I’ve heard only snippets—won’t be similarly enchanting.” — DAVE SEGAL (The Stranger)

Neon Sigh + Noyes Records welcome Ringo Deathstarr “God’s Dream” release and US tour!

Ringo Deathstarr - God's Dream US album and tour! (Neon Sigh / Noyes)

Ringo Deathstarr are making no hesitations when it comes to checking things off their 2014 To Do List. The Austin, Texas trio will kick off the new year by both releasing God’s Dream, a 12-inch EP on Neon Sigh / Noyes Records shortly after completing a 29 date, nation wide tour. The album is set to be released on March 25, 2014.

Warm guitars and pulsing drums combine to form an aggressively atmospheric bubble, encompassing the listener in an infectious cohesive which blends the sounds of an era when Sonic Youth and Jesus and Mary Chain walked the Earth with a forward thinking and creatively stubborn indie darling. Joined by Adam Franklin of Swervedriver on the track “Nowhere” and Jeff Schroeder of the Smashing Pumpkins on “Chain Saw Morning,” Ringo Deathstarr has created a flawlessly crafted sound on God’s Dream, destined and deserving to exist on vinyl.

Thankfully for enthusiasts, that is exactly where God’s Dream has ended up. Previously only available on CD through the Japanese label Vinyl Junkie, Ringo Deathstarr will release an exclusive run of colorized vinyl. The first run of 100 copies, available from Neon Sigh and Noyes Records, will be hand numbered and pressed in a mint/magenta split color. An additional 400 records will be pressed in a transparent coke bottle coloring and made available at tour dates listed below while supplies last. The release will also be available in digital format.

The band will begin and end their national tour in Austin, Texas, with the tour kicking off on February 13, 2014 and ending at this year’s South By Southwest. Dates can be found below.

Ringo Deathstarr, a musical trio from Austin, TX, have been putting out records since 2007. Consisting of Elliott Frazier (guitar, vocals), Alex Gehring (bass, vocals), and Daniel Coborn (drums, vocals), their sound is born from a love of melody, a love of guitar, and a hatred of pompous vocals. Finding it to be too much fun, the group has expounded upon the sounds of the masters before them. This desire to play the music they were too young to witness as children has taken Ringo Deathstarr around the globe, performing in places as far flung as Israel, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, Europe, Canda, and the continental USA, supporting favorites like …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, Dean Wareham, The Wedding Present, and The Smashing Pumpkins. With two Full length records (Colour Trip and Mauve) and a handful of EPs and singles in the bag, now is the time for a new EP, “God’s Dream,” which was recorded in Austin and on a ranch in Dripping Springs, TX. For this record, the band reunited with Chris “Frenchie” Smith, who co-produced their debut EP.

Ringo Deathstarr will release God’s Dream on March, 25, 2014 on Neon Sigh / Noyes Records.
