Jetman Jet Team
COSMIC SPACE AGE TUNES FROM JET DRIVEN AC SYSTEMS BLOWING FUZZ DRIVEN COOL BREEZES AT SUPERSONIC SPEEDS.
The psychedelic-pop debut from Seattle’s Jetman Jet Team flows in and out of brash fuzz, pounding drones and motorik rhythms blending elements of Shoegaze, Krautrock and Noise Pop. We Will Live The Space Age takes one on a journey to spaces both serene and introspective, as well as energetic, crushing and phosphorescent. Punctuated by vignettes of reverberated noise and distant vocals, Jetman Jet Team has created a landscape of varied topography and texture requiring exploration from start to finish. Check out the sound that Terrascope compared to 2001: A Space Odyssey, Chapterhouse, Teenage Fanclub, and Eno, while Stereolab’s Laetitia Sadier agrees: “very beautiful”.
Completed in early 2012 but unreleased for 2 years, “Music for the Metabolists” is an EP originally designed to be an abstract compliment to 2013’s “We Will Live The Space Age.” Comprised entirely of manipulated sounds found or recorded on cassettes, the album is intended to explore the themes and aesthetics of the 1960’s experimental Japanese futurist architecture group The Metabolists.
