Amber and Joel share a musical love for the freedom of the underground rock scene in the late 80′s & 70′s punk rock DIY icons Iggy Pop and Joey Ramone. They began writing songs together inspired equally by the lush squall of My Bloody Valentine, the seedy romanticism of The Velvet Underground, and the ambient punk of Deerhunter. The result: a loud surge of noise with fuzzed-out guitars, droning synths, and reverb drenched harmonies. Lulling hypnotics mixed with the jagged pulse of garage rock. A debut EP was released September 2011. Soon after a full group was formed: Joel Bergstrom (vocals, guitars), Amber Joy Smith (vocals, synths), Stephan LaJaunie (guitars), John West (bass) and Kevin Malik (drums). After an appearance at SXSW and a short west coast tour, they are currently playing shows and finishing a new record.
